Education Workshops

Throughout a child's life they continually look to their parents for education, guidance and support. These days, it seems parents have to take on roles that are larger than life. We understand what a daunting task it is to help your student through each phase of their life, especially when they embark on the path towards college.

At Veritas Education, our services go beyond the student, as we know behind each student is a parent guiding them. Our services range from academic assistance to bridging the gap between cross-cultural/cross-generational communication.

Every student has their own hobbies, interests, and strengths. Our goal is to encourage students to think critically about themselves when applying for colleges and writing college application essays. Our team helps students to better understand themselves and what their extracurricular activities, accomplishments, and hobbies say about them.

We do this by encouraging student to ask the question "why is this important to me?" and to focus on how each student's background can be used to best present themselves to a college admissions board. That requires a willingness to examine oneself and understand our motivations for doing what we do.

During this talk, we will focus on self-understanding while dealing with some of the questions that students and parents often ask us about the application process:

  • What are top schools looking for?

  • Just how important are junior packets and brag sheets?

  • What we can do to better prepare ourselves/students?

  • How can we craft an effective college essay that will stand out?

  • How should I describe my extracurricular activities and awards?

  • What can parents do to support their child during this critical and stressful process?

  • Why is it getting harder to get into a top school?

Dr. Wu and The Veritas Team are excited to share their expertise, as well as tips to make your application stand out from the rest.

Join us to learn more insight into the application process, and gain ideas for practical steps you and your student can take to better prepare for this journey.

"With your help, I was able to craft essays that effectively presented my true character to colleges. Thanks to your essay revision and brainstorming process, I was able to submit essays that I could be proud of!"     - J.G.
