With over 15 years of professional experience from a global consulting firm and a top financial institution, Richard has cultivated countless young adults and helped them reach their academic and professional goals. As the co-founder of BranchOut!, he also provides strategic advice to grow this one of a kind volunteer program by working with global law firm, financial institutions, local government, school district management teams, and members of U.S Congress. Richard also serves as a member Minority Student Achievement Oversight Committee for the Fairfax County Public Schools and is currently a board member of The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA).
Dr. Tina Martin
Ph.D., University of Missouri
Associate Professor of Accounting at Washington University in St. Louis
Dr. Martin has a Ph.D. degree in financial accounting. Her research focuses on the influences that enterprise financial capital management has on the capital market and banking industry, the influences that Financial Accounting Standards have on business management, financing cost, and investment efficiency, the opportunistic practices observed in the capital market, and the influences that top manager incentive mechanisms have on areas such as debt financing. Her work has been published in multiple finance and accounting journals. Dr. Martin has been invited to numerous higher education institutions (e.g., University of Chicago, University of Southern California, University of Toronto, New York University, London Business School, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Nanyang Technological University) for academic exchange purposes.
Dr. Waverly Ding

Dr. Ding’s research focuses on areas such as entrepreneurship, enterprise innovation, high-tech enterprise strategy and management, and technological innovation talent management. Her work has been published in journals such as Science. Dr. Ding has long-term experience at top business schools regarding student teaching and management. Hence, she has a deep understanding of the current operational model of American business schools and future development directions. In addition, Dr. Ding has been invited to numerous higher education institutions (e.g., Harvard Business School, Stanford University, Columbia University, New York University, London Business School, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Hong Kong, Peking University, and Tsinghua University) for academic exchange purposes and has been actively devoted to promoting US-China education and culture cooperation.
Dr. Michael Dutch

Dr. Dutch has 15 years of business experience and has over 10 years of full time college teaching experience. His roles in industry included quality assurance, training, consulting, and general management. In addition to teaching, Michael’s academic duties have included department chair, division coordinator and program director. Michael is currently a Professor of Management at Guilford College in North Carolina, USA and is devoted to the cultural exchanges between the US and Asian countries.

Ms. Li is passionate about education and has experience working in the public and private school setting, helping students with counseling, advising, as well as teaching needs. She comes to the team with the passion to help every student succeed and is an integral part of Veritas Education.

Mrs. Myers obtained a master's degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Boston University. As a licensed teacher, she enjoys helping our students improve their reading, writing, and thinking skills. She is able to make learning enjoyable and has brought positive influence to many of our students.

Mr. Allen brings more than 20 years of education and senior management experience to the team. He has designed courses and taught at all levels from pre-school to university doctoral seminars. Mr. Allen has three children and the eldest just graduated from college. He knows both the public and private high school systems well and has been an effective college coach for the team.

Ms. Marsico graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Chinese and psychology. She also has a Ed. M. from Harvard University and is now a Master's candidate at Boston University in mental health counseling. She is passionate about mental wellness and works hard to ensure that our students are happy and healthy mentally.

Ms. Rhoden graduated from Portland State University with a BA in the Chinese language and a minor in the Arabic language. With 6 years of living and teaching in China, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in teaching and cross-cultural exchange. Ms. Rhoden is passionate about helping students grow into effective readers and writers.

Ms. Wang received a master's of education from Harvard University with a concentration in Language and literacy and a B.A. from Nanjing Normal University with a degree in international education. She loves teaching and enhancing student motivation and has been a wonderful addition to our English teaching team as she is resourceful, creative, and fun to interact with.

Ms. Michelle received a master's of education in curriculum and instruction and a bachelor's of arts in history from Baylor University. She has five years of teaching experience in American public and private high schools in the social sciences. She has experience teaching in World History, World Geography, U.S. History and U.S. Government as well as teaching U.S. History and U.S. Government at the Advanced Placement level. With experience of creating curriculum for her previous school district, she is passionate in creating engaging and creative ways to help students reach their fullest potential as learners.

Ms. Gao graduated from Fudan University with a B.A. in philosophy. She then went to University of Virginia to pursue her M.Ed in Counselor Education-School Counseling Track. During that period, she interned in local public schools for 700+ hours. Ms. Gao has been a dedicated member of Veritas Education for over two years. She enjoys working with students from diverse backgrounds and tries her best to help students with their needs. She loves to explore the world with students to seek positive purposes.

Ms. Liu has a bachelor of science degree from Western University as well as a bachelor of education degree from the University of Toronto. She has experience teaching both the American and Canadian curriculum across grades 5-12 both abroad in Asia and locally in her home city of Toronto. She is particularly passionate about science education and student wellness. She strives to help students become problem solvers, critical thinkers, and opportunity seekers.
Mr. Stephen has over 9 years of teaching experience helping students with Chemistry, Physics, and all levels of Math to include TJ Math, SAT Math, and ACT Math/Science. Prior to this tutoring experience, he worked extensively with his son and daughter, who both went to TJ, in their math and science classes. Later his children went onto the University of Virginia and Columbia/Yale. He has a love of math and science and truly desires to work with students to ensure they grasp the various math concepts within each topic area. Steve's goal is to make students feel comfortable with the material within each topic and to build a confidence that they on their own can correctly answer the variety of problems presented to them.

Ryan attended the University of Michigan, where he graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Violin Performance in 2015. His passion for writing and reading led him to pursue graduate studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned an M.F.A. in English and Creative Writing from its acclaimed International Writers Program in 2018. Ryan truly enjoys helping young people develop as readers and writers, and has seven years of teaching and tutoring experience. He is currently an adjunct professor in the English, Composition and Rhetoric Department at George Mason University.
Mr. Thomas is an experienced instructor for SAT/PSAT Test prep and an effective teacher for a wide range of subjects including History and English. He received an MA in European History and is currently working toward a PhD. He brings energy and excitement to his class sessions to ensure that the student is not just engaged but excited to learn. His classes are tailored to the specific needs of students because everyone learns a little differently, and he believes it is his job to understand how each student learns and use that to help them do the best they can.
Dr. Yuhsien Wu

Dr. Wu is the co-founder of US-China Education and Culture Center (USCECC) and Veritas Education Leaders 501 (c)(3), and Chair of Harvard Asian American Alumni Alliance – DC Chapter. Dr. Wu obtained a master's degree in education with a concentration in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from University of Missouri.
She is an expert in student motivation and serves as a mentor to students globally, including Harvard College students. She also designs and teaches a self-growth class in the Washington DC area to help students enhance their thinking, leadership, cultural, and communication skills. Her research interests are interpersonal in nature, and include mentoring, cultural differences, communication, social skills, and emotional intelligence. She has been invited as keynote and panel speaker to discuss global competence, international education, mental wellness, and race relations in America by schools such as Harvard University.
