伍博士是美籍华人中少有的教育权威专家,她不但当过多年的商学院教授,她也做过多项和“导师制”和沟通技巧有关的研究,并发表了多篇文章。在2016年,伍博士和她的博士导师Daniel Turban教授及其他两位同仁一起做的关于“导师制” (Mentor)的研究成果在Journal of Career Development 刊登發表了。这是一个专注于职业发展,人际沟通,商业领域的人脉拓展,人力资源管理的国际性知名专业杂志。这是他们花了好几年的时间在美国收集到完整的数据。 研究/探寻人的个性在选择人生导师(mentor)所起的作用,最后人生导师帮助个人在职场上获得成功(薪水,升迁和对工作的满意程度)。注:在这个极其重视隐私和平等的文化里面,收集个人数据永远是一项非常富有挑战性的工作,需要符合社会文化,人文心理,法律知识,企业商业伦理道德等等要求,也是一个非常好的了解美国核心文化的过程。

 

Dr. Wu was born in Taipei and completed her middle school, high school, college, and graduate studies in the US. As a senior manager at a New York Stock Exchange education company, she has an in-depth understanding about the American secondary education system. She also worked as a business professor and has an intimate knowledge about the American higher education system. Because of her passion in education, Dr. Wu co-founded the US-China Education and Culture Center in 2010 and Veritas Education in 2015 to help students succeed academically and professionally.

 

Dr. Wu is an expert in student development and mentors students globally, including Harvard College students.  She serves as a keynote and panel speaker at various conferences to discuss global competence, international education, and race relations in America. She also works closely with a team of Harvard Medical School professionals to promote mental wellness for international as well as Asian-American students. With a Ph.D. in business management from University of Missouri specializing in interpersonal communication, and a master's degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, Dr. Wu aims to bring high quality learning to students in Northern Virginia and globally.
